FMHS Wildcats work hard to win over Montrose Indians, 6 - 5

Saturday, April 18, gave Fruita Monument High School an adrenalin boost, even though TJ Pollock scored on a hit by Eric Mende, along with back to back doubles hit by Ryan Mixon and B. Mays, then Rex Clemons' single, scoring Mays to post a 4 to 1 lead on the scoreboard. The Montrose Indians took advantage of some errors and tough breaks to score 3 runs in the fourth to tie the game. Fruita put two  more runs across the plate in the bottom of the fourth changing the score, 6 to 4.
From that point on, Coach Ray McLennan mixed up the mound using three more pitchers. The Indians managed one more score. Clemons took the mound to get the final outs, forcing a ground ball into a double play.  With two losses, the Wildcats know they are under pressure to win every game for the League Title.
