rodeo number 8, 2012

Tonight's  Rimrock Rodeo opened with a moment's silence remembering the suffering of those families who lost loved ones to the guns of a killer at an Aurora movie theatre last week Friday night. This awful scene has affected so many throughout the State of Colorado. The prayer offered by the speaker asked for strength for so many to be able to deal with both the good and the bad things life seems to offer mankind. This reminded many of Governor Hickenlooper speaking at a memorial service as he asked  mankind to help communities by showing compassion and kindness to one another.

To celebrate this rodeo night, the bareback broncs and the bulls won their events. A lone saddle bronc rider, Jerry Blair was the only successful contestant riding to  a score of 76.
