Honor Choir Performs at FMS

Too bad the crowd was small because the performance was huge. Those not in attendance at this performance, missed an aesthetic experience for sure.
Directed by Guest Clinician, Jim Farrell, choir members from School District's eight middle schools plus Fruita 8/9 School, sounded professional.
Farrel received his undergraduate degree in Vocal Music Education. His masters Degree in Music Theory and Composition was also earned in the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.  His choirs consistently have been represented in Colorado All State Choir, All State Jazz Choir and more.
Raisha Quinn, on his oboe, accompanied the group as they sang Victor C. Johnson's "Will You Teach Me."
With the help of the choir, Farrell composed "Pirates We Be" which thoroughly entertained everyone.
Members of the High Desert Opera of Mesa County closed the program with solos by individual members of that group.
Upcoming events include:

Solo/Ensemble Band at EMS on February 12-13.
HS Band Concert at the Avalon, time 7 p.m.
March 5, MS Jazz Rendezvous at FMS
