A huge heart and a compassionate being left the valley this weekend. Eleonore Allee, friend to so many, an individual who always helped others, was found dead at her home last Sunday.
After retiring from working at the Grand Junction Regional center, Eleonore continued to help others as she cooked every Thursday at the Catholic Outreach. She did other volunteer work as well. There are many other ways she reached out to those who needed a boost whether it was encouragement, a place to stay, a meal to eat. Tragedy in her own life made her all the more sensitive to the plights of others.
