Art Camp week one is a smashing success 2009

Art Camp, week one, was a great experience, both for the art campers and the teachers, Vera Mulder and Naomi Barlow. With a full roster, the week started off with creepy crawlers as students got to play and create with clay, something they usually do not
get to do at all during
the school year. Bowls of snails, worms and who knows what else were fashioned by nimble fingers. Tiles sported lady bugs and turtles.  Portfolios were filled with lessons on the elements of design in visual art.  Students loved their painting and drawing experiences as well. Three more weeks of camps remain for the month of June.
For a special learning experience, register at the Parks and Rec. Office in the Civic Center or call 858 0360.
