RATS, it was, the story of the Pied Piper

Shelledy Elementary School presented this wonderful musical written by Dave and Jean Perry. The musical was directed by Kacey  Brumelle who teaches music part time at Shelledy with Cathy Barger, full time music teacher. Brumelle is the choral teacher at Fruita Middle School.
Some 33 students, grades three, four and five, volunteered their time after school to become a part of this excellent performance.
The set and costumes were designed by parent, Kathy Hessler, graduate of the Art Institute of Dallas. She helped during rehearsals as well as creating the notes and programs.
The production was made possible by a "village" of helpers complete from the Principal, Mr. States, on down. Parents showed their involvement through their extra efforts with transportation  to and from after school practices and encouragement.
Shelledy's music program is alive and well.
