Fruita Rim Rock Rodeo 3, June 18, 2019


Rodeo number 3 turned out a good crowd.  The event got to a start with slack barrel racing and team roping, 4:30 and 5:30. The top winners from these events go on to participate in the evening show at 7:00
Last week saw some rather domestic upset at mutton busting, and this time it seems parents forgot where the boundaries are concerning not standing in front of gate opening and to the side so the people win the stands could see the beginnings of mutton busting. Overheard from a new bystander was "They should be having slow sheep and fast sheep, referring to the fact that some sheep seemed to run faster and therefore not fair  for some to ride..... Oh well...I guess some feel they can rearrange nature...

The results from the rodeo are as follows:
There were no successful rides on the broncs..
BULLS: Nate Hoey first and Jack Douglas second.
JR. BULLS: no successful riders
RIBBON ROPING; Brannon Allen, and Gentry Goza , first, NO SECOND PLACE.
CALF ROPING:  Jate Frost, first and Josh Frost, second.
BREAKAWAY; Erika Chartrand forst, Hallie Taylor second
BARRELS: 1D, Nicole Yonkers, first, Jaycee Yonkers second.
                     2D, Brittnay Cordorver first, Shaylee Yonkers, second
                    3D, Sharron Colinger firt, Emily Steiner second.
