STUDENTS INVOLVED IN HELPING OTHERS

The world will survive only if every human does his/her part in helping one another. This is a statement that many argue about, yet the Golden Rule says, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."
Well, two 3rd graders aren't just talking about doing this. They have formed a special club, and they're putting it into action.
Maggie Williams and Lizzie Godfrey started“For Charity,” or simply "FC." Their goal is to raise money for worthwhile causes, in this case, children at St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Last school year, the girls created posters and displayed them around their school. They also wrote a newsletter and sent it home with all schoolmates. The money they raised went to combat diseases to which kids seem susceptible.
"It's a kid's hospital and there's lots of kids that have diseases, and we're sending money so they can get medicine for the kids," says Lizzie.
The girls raised $154 so far thanks to placing  a water cooler jug in Rimrock Elementary's main office for the donations.

The two students intend to raise funds for St. Jude's Hospital again this coming school year. Thanks for caring.
