New school year is off to a great start in Fruita.

Rim Rock Elementary and Loma Elementary held their open, back to school nights last Monday, August  17. The crowds filled the schools with parents and students eager to meet their teachers and see their classrooms. Rim Rock Principal Mrs. Kramer and Loma's Principal, Mrs. Rigg were happy to see the excitement for the new year.  Fruita Middle School also welcomed back their students and the new sixth graders. Looking for lockers and classrooms, the Fruita Middle school was filled with hustle and bustle. Princial Irene Almond welcomed the students and the new school year. Shelledy Elementary had their back to school night Tuesday, August 18. The next morning found eager students escorted to school with bags of supplies and eager faces. Mr. States, Principal, noted he felt the year was beginning on a very positive note. He is looking forward to a great year as well.
