Family Health West marks another era with opening of new hospital

With the next era in the history of Family Health West Hospital now a reality, the following photos show parts of the new facility just before the first reception for dignitaries,the evening of July 17. The public will fill halls and rooms on Saturday morning at the public reception.

With beds for 16 patients, the rooms are spectacular, each having one bed with all the emergency hookups, all state of the art. At the time of these photos, each department in the hospital was busy getting ready for the many tours that would be coming through to view the specifics

of each department such as radiology, emergency, admissions and more. The kitchen and cafateria are beautiful and built for efficiency.  A patio setting with tables and umbrellas is designed to welcome staff, visitors and mobile patients alike.

Perhaps what really underlines the fact that this facility was even able to be built, is a wall at the enterance to the facility. This is the area that lists all individuals, companies and businesses who gave special service, donations and support throughout, from conceptual plan to the finished product. 

I missed the celebrations because my mother-in-law was able to celebrate her 90th birthday, and that celebration was in Detroit.  Family is very important so it would have been awful to miss such a landmark, You have but one mother who brought you into this world.
