Fruita Thursday night free concert series off to musical start.

"Hit Squad" played to a record crowd for the first in the summer series of free Thursday night concerts held at Fruita Civic Center.
Fred Breager, leader and sax player, shared the stage with Mike Gazdak and Eric Nohe, who played the key boards. The guitar was manned by Ron Jordan (bass).  Pat Olsen was Mr. Drummer with Greg Karly and Paul Deininger on trombones. Wendell Hennesy handled the vocals.
The band played hits of the 60's through the 90's. They are available to play for weddings, concerts and all occasions.
All are grand Valley residents. Bookings are available by calling Frank Breagar at 970 858 1720 or 970 261 9895

Summer Harrington of Channel 11 covered the news at Fruita's concert and the Parks and Recreation Master Plan information.

You never know who you might see. Elvis visited last summer.
