Local llamas hit the streets

The first two photographs by Janet Province were submitted to this news blog Aprl 29, 2009. She captured the two llamas as they were entering the Pabor Avenue neighborhood. Thanks, Janet.

It was either a stray dog or some one's pet that decided to enter the pasture, fenced off, where two llamas were kept. Going for the leg of Rambo or  was the name Moma Lama, the two jumped the fence in fear. After several hours of chasing, the first llama was captured and put in a trailer. The young llama managed to elude the Fruita police and several other individuals who were helping owner Susan Allen try to coax the llama into a fenced yard. East Pabor had its first runaway llama.
