Fruita 8/9 School held a band concert April 8 for an audience of 

friends and families. Band instructor, Mr. Carley, was pleased with the performance. 

The 8/9 Concert Band and Symphonic Band  will take part in a band festival at Central High School. The Concert Band performs at 11:15 a.m. while the Symphonic Band performs at 3:45 p.m. The 8/9 Jazz ensemble will perform at Grand Junction High School at 2:30 p.m.                                                                                                                                              

Meanwhile the Fruita Monument High School held its Jazz concert with

Ryan Crabtree, band instructor and Tyson Repke, choir director joining forces.

The jazz bands played works by Sorenson and Pearson, Josef Zawinul and more. 

Pianist Sean McKee did his magic on the piano as fellow musicians and jazz vocalists wowed the audience with their talents.
