Thursday's luncheons are a big hit for seniors
Over 75 seniors (55 and up) attneded the April 30 luncheon. The luncheon is for the seniors. A suggested donation is $3.00, or a covered dish of food big enough for five or six. If someone doesn't have that much, they will not be turned away. Today's lucheon included deviled eggs, salads, vegetables, fried chicken, dessert and more. Ellen Roberts and Mary Lee Bowen surprised the group as they lip-synched Patsy Cline's song, " "She's Got You." The two who call themselves the "Wanna-be Patsy Cline" pulled things like a sock, a tie, stuffed animal and even vinyl 45 records from their clothing as the song mentioned them. The audience was thoroughly into the act and the laughter filled the room.
